God Keeps His Own
The loving kindness of our Father God! As each day passes, I experience greater depths of knowledge concerning our Lords' loving kindness towards us, His children. As we are being prepared by the cleansing process of God's Word, striped of our old ways of doing and thinking, we are entering into greater dimensions of His purity and His holiness. Only by the tremendous mercy and love of our Heavenly Father, through His precious Son, Jesus the Christ, are we able to stand in His glorious presence and receive His forgiveness and grace. Our past does not matter anymore -- God will use all our foolishness and mistakes and hurts to bring Him glory, as He fits our new lives into His grand plan. A plan that is so full of love and kindness for our benefit and for the good of all His children that we will minister to in the days to come! It is an awesome time to be in His Kingdom -- those of us who have been called and destined to live in these end days are so close to the head of our body - we're the shoulders and neck of Christ - built upon the foundation of all those who have gone before us. As the heavenly anointing flows over Jesus Christ ("the anointed one and His anointing") it flows to us in full measure, drenching us with quantity and quality of 'yoke destroying, burden removing' power!! The early church, in all the miraculous signs and wonders did not have the same measure of the anointing by comparison to what God has prepared for us in this day and this time.
As God is speaking to His children everywhere, these are the days of 'His Kingdom come, His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.' We who are prepared and ready for our bridegroom, have begun the wedding celebration -- days of heaven on earth! Where the tears are wiped away and the unspeakable joy and glory take their place! We are the ones who will walk in and partake of the fullness of His rich benefits -- the fullness of His covenant blessings - the fullness of His love and the fullness of His kindness! God's Word (Joel 2:28) declares "I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; … I will pour out My Spirit in those days." These are the days and we are experiencing the outpouring as He promised! We will continue to see greater and mighty and speedier works in not only our individual lives, but corporately in the church body. Every day we get deeper and deeper in our heavenly experience, not only in the blessings of living under God's favor, but also in the more important realm of our spiritual walk. We are experiencing greater depth of wisdom, understanding and revealed knowledge. We have entered into a new dimension of time -- eternal time. As the Lord explained to me, heaven is a realm outside time. There was a beginning to 'time' and there will be an end to 'time', as we know it. But eternity knows no time. Eternity is in the realm of timelessness. Time was created for the sake of human beings -- a standard by which to measure. Our human lives are governed by time but in the realm of the supernatural, there is no time. Time as we have known will never again be. We will see such awesome accomplishments take place in a split second of the time we would expect. What used to take years, will now take days, even minutes. What used to consume our time will now be accomplished supernaturally, freeing our 'time' for God's use in end time ministry. I truly believe that we have not yet known or comprehended what God has in store for us, not only in the area of blessings -- but in every area of life, as we experience awesome signs and wonders.
God delights in us and loves us so much! He loves to astonish and amaze us! He loves to pour out such dimensions of love gifts to us that we will be soon saying, "Lord, this is ABOVE and BEYOND anything that I ever dreamed or imagined!" As a parent, I truly enjoy planning and preparing surprises for my children! I enjoy watching their facial expressions as they unwrap some wonderful new gift! I love to hear my children squeal with delight as they hear of a fun adventure that I have planned for them! (My son just informed me that he doesn't squeal like his sisters do!) I get so much pleasure in bringing my children joy, that it's easy for me to understand how God "delights in giving us the desires of our hearts"! Not to spoil us until we are as spoiled, rotten fruit; but to give us the delights and pleasures that edify and bring us joyful experiences. I learned along time ago, that the cherished gifts for my children are not the expensive toys sitting on the store shelves, (designed for the masses), rather the simple gifts that come from my knowledge of what they enjoy and want, that I can creatively supply from the resources at my disposal. I am continually smiling and laughing with the Lord over some wonderful pleasure that He has put into my life -- meeting a new friend, participating in an anointed meeting, watching an incredible sunset, smelling the fantastic fragrance of springtime. Sometimes it is receiving an unexpected gift from a friend, or an unmerited honor at the office. It's experiencing His attention as He keeps me protected when another car wanders into my lane of traffic. OR seeing the snowstorm stop and the roads clear to give me a safe path on which to travel. The daily benefits -- the daily merits of being His child are all around us. I've found that the greatest blessings, aside from His incredible love and grace, are not the huge displays that we tend to measure our right standing with Him according to -- like the new homes, better cars, finer wardrobes, etc. -- but the consistent, daily acts of His love and favor.
Living in the Kingdom of God, experiencing 'righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost,' is so much greater than the material blessings. The material blessings are wonderful and God loves for us to receive these gifts in abundance too -- but we are not to seek after them. They are the bi-products of our seeking Him -- seeking His presence -- seeking His love - seeking His fellowship. The greatest blessing we can receive is outlined in Numbers 6:24-26.
When you recognize and acknowledge and expect God to perform His every word concerning you, then you can easily see the evidence every day. The amount of peace in our heart is the measuring stick that God gave us to know when we are truly trusting in Him. When we trust Him and refuse fear at every opportunity, we experience a lifestyle of "light and easy."
During the past eight years, I have often joked that I was "a kept woman" - referring to being divinely kept by God. Lately the Holy Spirit has been directing my meditations to what it really means to be "divinely kept by God." Psalm 121:2-8 explains more than any other scripture I have found, exactly how God keeps us.
As I continued to search God's Word for ways He shows His love and kindness to us, I discovered that essentially ALL the blessings are come to us because He keeps us!
To keep means to take notice of by appropriate conduct, as to fulfill. Ps 89:28 says "My mercy and loving-kindness will I keep for him forevermore, and My covenant shall stand fast and (I will) be faithful with him."
To keep means to act fittingly in relation to. As in Deut. 7:9 "Know, recognize and understand therefore that the Lord your God, the faithful God, Who keeps covenant and steadfast love and mercy with those who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations."
To keep means to conform to in conduct in every situation. Isaiah 26:3,4 "(I) will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace, whose mind (both it's inclinations and it's character) is stayed on You, leans on You and hopes confidently in You."
To keep means to preserve and maintain a watch over as we read in Numbers 6:24-26 above. To keep also means to take care of, as Isaiah 27:2,3 so beautiful describes. "… A vineyard beloved and lovely; … I, the Lord am it's Keeper; I water it every moment, lest anyone harm it. I guard it and keep it night and day."
Keep means to preserve in an unspoiled condition, such as Philippians 4:7 promises "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will keep and guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Are you noticing how often the benefit of God's keeping us has to do with a peaceful heart? To keep also includes the benefits of having in one's service, such as a bodyguard. Exodus 23:20 "Behold I send an angel before you to keep and guard you on the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared."
Another meaning for the word keep is to save or reserve. "Faithful is He Who is calling you (to Himself) and utterly trustworthy; and He will also do it (fulfill His call by hallowing and keeping you)."
Or to retain in one's possession or power. Ps 41:2 says, "The Lord will protect him and keep him alive; he shall be called blessed in the land; and You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies."
Keep means to stay or continue in as in keeping us on the path. Isaiah 42:6 applies to us as well as the prophetic word spoken over Jesus; "I the Lord have called You (the Messiah) for a righteous purpose and in righteousness; I will take You by the hand and will keep You."
To keep means to maintain a course or direction, as in Ps 121:8 "The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore."
Additionally, keep means to persist in a practice as Jude 24 assures us; "Now to Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling, and to present (you) unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exaltation (with unspeakable, ecstatic delight)."
There are many, many more definitions of the word 'keep' and just as many scripture examples of God's keeping us. Meditate on these and let them minister to your soul. They will bring life and health to you!
All the blessings and favors of God come because He keeps His Word to us. I pray that the revelation of how much God loves you and keeps you will be of greater understanding then ever before! That we "may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:18-19
Let the glory come - the fullness of God filling us with His all! The Lord loves you! The Lord keeps you! The Lord favors you! To Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus!
"For He will give His angels (especial) charge over you (to keep you) to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways (of obedience and service." Ps 91:11
